    Feel the Force: Hurricanes and Other Hazards

    Warning, dangerous science ahead! Join the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science for Feel the Force to kick off the start of hurricane season with fun science activities and safety tips from the experts. Families, including kids of all ages, can participate in exciting science shows, meet and greet with real Hurricane Hunters, challenge their weather safety knowledge, discover how the weather works through fun hands-on activities, and learn to prepare for any disaster, including knowing the Miami-Dade County hurricane evacuation zones. Feel the Force is presented by FIU’s International Hurricane Research Center, Miami.Dade County Emergency Management, and the Florida Division of Emergency Management. FREE Admission.

    STEM Summer Program Grand Opening @ ZANIAC

    The innovative afterschool STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment program is opening its first Florida location at Dadeland Station in Miami on Thursday, May 21st, and Zaniac’s founder, Professor Paul Zane Pilzer, will be present to greet the Miami community. At Zaniac children from K-8th grade will be able to attend summer camps to learn Computer Programming, Robotics, Minecraft Physics and Environmental Science, 3D Printing, Zane Math, Tinkering, Chess and Touch Typing.
