  • Summer ready!

Top 60 Summer Camps rated by us – MOMS!

So, summer is almost here and you are starting to look for a summer program for your kids, there are many options out there but you do not know where to start. That is why we are bringing all the options to one place for you! We will be hosting the 2014 Summer Camp + Fun Fair on Saturday, May 3.

Some of you have asked us what a Camp Fair is? Camp fairs are free events that take place on weekends and bring dozens of camps straight to us, allowing us to have one-on-one conversations with many camp directors all within a few hours of time.  Camp fairs give us a chance to explore interests and also provide us with the opportunity to ask key questions about different summer programs. Our 2014 Summer Camp + Fun fair will be presenting other summer programs as well, such as after school activities and other entertainment options as a family.

While at our camp fair, you may want to ask the camp directors and organizers some questions. Some of the following questions have been recommended by one of our supporting organizations, the American Camp Association:

    • What is the main goal of your camp?
    • What is your camp’s mission and philosophy?
    • What type of training and education do you and your staff have?
    • What are the safety procedures?
    • What are your enrollment options?
    • How does your camp handle special needs?
    • If it is a school camp, what are the chances of enrolling my kid in the school year after a camp experience?

Wouldn’t you like to allow your kid to connect with the camp organizers or explore activities that might be of their interest that you have no idea they had?

For us moms and dads searching for a camp or any summer activities, the fair will be a great way to find out what a camp is really like before registering our children.

At the event we will be providing a guide with contact info and descriptions of every program out there. But because we know you are getting curious and perhaps anxious about what is out there, we are including below a list of the top 60 which we have identified and which will some be present at the Fair. Bring your family for a day of fun, explore options and perhaps register your kids on site!
