Last Saturday May 3, Brickell and KB moms hosted the best community event to welcome and plan for the summer as a family. The 2014 Annual Summer Camp + Fun Fair, took place at the South Shore by the Bay, Mercy Campus in the Grove. The fair provided a unique space for families to gather to find summer resources and programs, sports, entertainment, music, dance, and art.

At the Fair we had interactive and enrichment experiences for all ages. Display and on-site registration tables from over 30 camps, green area fun spots as well as live performances were part of the day activities. Parents as well as schools and summer camp organizers were able to exchange views about summer options. Among the many different Fun Spots, kids were able to explore Yoga and fitness presented by Transformers Kids Camp, Golf by Crandon Golf, Tennis by Mini-Tennis Academy,  Soccer by Super Soccer Stars and Karate by Dabisson Karate Academy. Other Fun Spots included a petting zoo, pony rides, face-painting, racing cars by U-race, adventure land by Key Point Academy and Arts & Crafts by Smart Starts Day School.  Train rides were sponsored by Greater Miami in honored of May Miami Museum Month. A kids lounge area was presented by Kydoos Kids Club + Café. One of the most popular activities was the special Splash Zone presented by the Fire Department in which kids were able to see the Fire-Boat in action and even go on board! Performances on stage included presentations by: The Thomas Armour Youth Ballet, Key Point Academy, Creative Characters, Play, Learn and be Fit and University of Miami Frost School of Music

The 2014 Summer Camp + Fun Fair was organized and presented by Brickell and KB moms and sponsored by Mercy Hospital. Other sponsors and supporters included:  Whole Foods Coral Gables as the healthy snack sponsor and the American Camp Association and Greater Miami  Convention and Visitors Bureau as supporting organizations.
