If you live in KB you share the beaches with the threatened loggerhead sea turtle from May 1st to October 31st.

To learn more about sea turtles the Crandon Adventure Office puts together The Sea Turtle Awareness Program
which normally runs from late July through the middle of September from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations are required; You can make your reservations starting July 1st. The program is offered multiple times a week at Crandon Park and Visitors & Nature Center. Most of the dates fall on the weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sundays).
