Is there a soul alive who has not been swept away by the wonder of L. Frank Baum’s masterpiece? After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of OZ, young Kansas farm girl Dorothy Gale teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion to avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch Of The West and find the mighty Wizard who can send her home.
Originally produced by the award-winning Prince Street Players, this funny and clever musical is sure to entertain both the largest and smallest of munchkins!
Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Medical Campus will hold its popular 8th Annual Free Community Health Fair from9 a.m. – 1p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22. Services being offered at the fair include glucose, HIV and cholesterol tests, flu shots, a limited number of free mammograms, and dental, vision and blood pressure screenings. There will also be information on prenatal care, diabetes, asthma, pet care and stress relief. The MDC Health Fair is free and open to the public.
A “Stress Relief Zone” will include free chair massages, Zumba, nutrition information and other services. Medical information from area agencies and medical providers will be available in addition to important information on the Affordable Care Act. Representatives from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) will be on site to answer questions.
In addition to medical information and screenings, there will also be a Children’s Corner with face painting, a bounce house and the Colgate Bright Smiles Futures Mobile Dental Van. Additionally, Healthy Matthew will be here to speak to children about physical activity, nutrition and dental care.

The THINKING ADVENTURES class is held at Brickell International Academy school every Friday from 10:30-11:30 am. For children between 1 and 5 years old.
Each class is FREE of charge and has a capacity of 10 students.
