Last Saturday, February 8th we hosted the 1st Brickell and Key Biscayne School Fair, a unique event that showcased the best school options available in the communities.
Moms and dads gathered all the information, attended mini-sessions and mingled with school representatives from the private as well as the public sector. Moreover, the Fair started with a presentation titled Rethinking Education: Looking ahead to the next Generation of Leaders. Brickell and KB moms’ Director, Victoria Kenny introduced the topic and announced the launch of the MINDS Awards.
With the support of Internationally recognized organizations such as Ashoka and the International Association of Human Values as well as local educational organization Values & Strengths the MINDS Awards will honor extraordinary teachers and schools who are changing the lives of their students and paving the way for a new generation of global leaders. El Sábado pasado, 8 de Febrero se llevó a cabo nuestra primera feria de Escuelas de Brickell y Key Biscayne, un único lugar de encuentro que reunía a las mejores opciones educativas disponibles en nuestras comunidades.
Mamás y papás! reunieron la mejor información, asistieron a sesiones personalizadas e interactuaron con representantes de escuelas del sector público y privado. Además, la Feria comenzó con una presentación titulada: Repensando la Educación: Mirando hacia la nueva generación de Líderes. Nuestra Directora, Victoria Kenny hizo la introducción y anunció el lanzamiento de los Premios MENTES. Con el apoyo de organizaciones internacionalmente reconocidas como Ashoka y la Asociación Internacional de Valores Humanos -International Association of Human Values asi como la organización local educativa Values & Strengths los Premios MENTES o MINDS Awards honrarán a las maestras o maestros extraordinarios que están cambiando la vida de los estudiantes y formando el camino para la nueva generación de líderes globales. Los ganadores serán anunciados en nuestra 2da Feria de Escuelas a llevarse a cabo en Noviembre del 2014. Para conocer más sobre los Premios y nominar a una maestra visita MINDS Awards.
