    The bkbmoms 2nd School Fair is a one-stop gathering for families to meet with representatives from preeminent schools in the area to access information and resources for finding the right school for our kids.

    The task of researching and selecting a school for children can be daunting for all of us, especially considering the overwhelming number of choices available. Many families are trying to find the perfect fit while navigating through endless information regarding school facilities, personnel and educational philosophies. This process is often filled with hope, trepidation, and anxiety.

    The Fair is opened to everyone in the Miami community on November 8, 2014.  While meet & greet with school representatives will be taking place in main lobby area, an educational conference will be taking place at the main conference room.

    Overview of Conference Program – Educational Panels:

    9:30 am – 10:00 am Registration
    10:00 am – 10:30 am Welcome Remarks – Keynote Address
    10:30 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. Choosing the right preschool for your child: How do I start the application process? What educational approach would be the best fir for my child: Traditional, Play-Based, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf, among others?
    11:10 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. Coffee Break
    11:20 am – 12:00 pm Entering the School System: Navigating the application processes and understanding the key differences of the public and private systems.
    12:00 pm- 12:30 pm Bilingual and Bicultural Education: Addressing the challenges and opportunities of educating children in a bilingual and bicultural setting.
